Edge GNSS module​

Overview​

Edge GNSS module is a positioning device interfaced via CAN bus using UAVCAN protocol. It includes a GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou/Galileo receiver, a high-precision barometer, two 3-axis compasses and an RGB LED. The module has 2 CAN ports internally connected to the same CAN bus.

Connection​

Use a JST-GH-4P to JST-GH-4P cable to connect the Edge GNSS module. You can use any CAN port.


Attention

Do not install the GNSS module near sources of electromagnetic radiation like power cables, electromotors, steel parts, etc. For the GNSS module to function properly install the Edge GNSS module above other drone parts. Do not place other devices on top of the Edge GNSS module

Installation​

Use the picture below with the dimensions of the Edge GNSS module which can help you choose the way how you'll install the Edge GNSS module


To install the Edge GNSS module on the drone you can use

  • a stand with the diameter of 3.9mm
  • double-sided duct tape
  • holes for self-tapping screws

Be careful! Depth of the holes is 4.5mm
