Reach Firmware 33 (Gradual rollout)​

Improvements

  • Implemented the ability to send corrections via two channels at the same time.
  • Added signal strength indicators in Reach Panel:
    • Reach RS2/RS2+ shows signal strength when receiving corrections via LoRa.
    • Reach RS3 shows signal strength when receiving corrections via LoRa and UHF.
  • Enhanced mobile connection configuration to speed up the connection.
  • Updated the Reach antenna registry to enhance compatibility when using Reach as a rover with third-party bases.
  • Updated GNSS chip firmware for multi-band devices to improve the quality of the position calculation. As a result, the 10 Hz RTK update rate is now available only when the BeiDou system is disabled.
  • Implemented Bluetooth connection management. The Reach receivers now support only one active Bluetooth connection at a time, either Bluetooth Classic or BLE.
  • Improved UHF radio performance on Reach RS3 for more stable and reliable reception of TRIMTALK 450S* corrections.
  • Updated LoRa radio settings to comply with local regulations in Japan.

Fixes:

  • Fixed tilt compensation stability for Reach RS3 devices.
  • Fixed some cases where only position (LLH) log is recorded.
  • Fixed some cases where Reach is not visible in the Emlid Flow scanner.
  • Fixed raw debug logging option. Now, when enabled, the UBX debug log is recorded regardless of the other logging settings.

Improvements

  • Added the ability to send NMEA GGA and GST messages with compensated position data for Reach RS3, improving accuracy and compatibility with third-party software
  • Improved tilt compensation and better RTCM3.2 reception over UHF radio for Reach RS3. This improves the precise performance and range of communications in demanding environments
  • Updated log list interface to simplify log management, making it easier to navigate and operate.
  • Added the ability to rename logs and split them at 00:00 UTC, enhancing organizational capabilities and data management.
  • Added the ability to download logs and generate a full system report even when the system is stuck or self-tests fail, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and support.
  • Improved the stability of firmware updates over mobile data, minimizing interruptions and ensuring smoother updates.
  • Removed the first-time setup. You can now operate a receiver without rebooting right out of the box if there are no critical updates.
  • Introduced a single antenna height storage. Now, if you enter the antenna height in one tab (e.g. in Logging or Base mode), it will be applied across other app tabs.
